e-Science related funding to look at large online 2D & 3D mapping.
GeoVUE is one of seven nodes in the National Centre for e-Social Science whose mission it is to develop grid and web-based technologies for the social sciences. Our project at CASA is to develop new applications of GIS and related technologies which are focused on 2D and 3D mapping and CAD. The express aim is to develop new kinds of virtual urban environments (VUEs) through which uses can participate in furthering their understanding of cities as well as engaging in other forms of participation.
