Liver cancers can be removed by open, or keyhole surgery. While keyhole surgery is beneficial to the patient, unfortunately, only 5-30% of patients can be offered keyhole surgery due to the technically challenging procedures and the associated level of risk. We are developing a computer assisted surgery system to guide the surgeon, thereby reducing the level of risk.
