SNAPPY
A key challenge for researchers in computational science is to write software that is robust and reliable enough to be deployed for real-time use, while also not becoming overburdened by the ongoing software maintenance costs. At the Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Science (WEISS), we are driving down the time to translate our algorithms to the clinic. One of our strategic platforms is the Surgical NAvigation Platform with PYthon (SNAPPY), that integrates devices such as trackers and various imaging sources and provides a framework for researchers and Research Software Engineers to work together and deliver code to the clinic in record time.
