Luis Fernandez-Luque

Dr Fernandez-Luque is a Computer Science Engineer from the University of Sevilla (Spain). He has been doing eHealth research for the last ten years in Norway (Norut), Spain (Polytechnic University of Valencia) and the United States (University of Minnesota and Harvard Medical School). Luis Fernandez-Luque has been involved in eHealth and Medical Informatics research for nearly 10 years. He has more than 40 peer-reviewed publications, 20 of them indexed in PubMed and cited over 211 times in the last 5 years (according to Google Scholar).
He specialises in health social media and currently serves as the Chairman of the Social Media Working Group of the International Medical Informatics Association. He has been also researching in mobile health and serious games for health since the year 2004. He has been actively involved in the organisation of international conferences; for example, he currently serves as Co-Director of the 7th World Congress of Medicine 2.0 in Europe. His research and opinion letters have been published in leading journals such as the Journal of Medical Internet Research, the British Medical Journal and the Lancet.
