Dr Tozzi is a pediatrician and epidemiologist. Coordinator of a research area and of a telemedicine unit in Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital. Qualified as full professor in hygiene and preventive medicine. Conducted several studies on vaccine preventable diseases. He works on the use of web data for monitoring health events in the general population and on the application of natural language processing in health data derived from social networks. Dr Tozzi currently coordinates research aimed at evaluating telemonitoring activities for chronic pediatric patients. He is associate editor of Frontiers in Public Health journal.
